Format Letter to fight Global Warming
Dear Member of Parliament
I strongly urge you to continue Canada’s support of the Kyoto Accord and support other programs that call for mandatory limits on global warming pollution. The Kyoto Accord is the best internationally acknowledged agreement to set mandatory limits on greenhouse gas emissions, and is directly in line with Canadian opinion regarding the environment.
Scientists agree that unless we start cutting global warming pollution, temperatures in Canada will continue to rise and we will face increasing heat waves, air pollution, droughts and wildfires, heavier rains and flooding, rising sea levels, melting tundra and widespread extinction of species.
The Canadian Government must act quickly as this environmental crisis is steadily growing worse. I am counting on you to protect my family and me -- as well as future generations -- from the disastrous effects of global warming. Please do everything in your power to help pass legislation that will finally mandate cuts in our global warming emissions.
